SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 3, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A Midvale man has been indicted on charges of threatening to kill Donald Trump and to take actions to harm or kill people at several Utah businesses.

Travis Luke Dominguez, 33, is charged with two counts of making death threats against Mr. Trump and one of threatening to kill any police officers who might try to stop him.

The threats were allegedly made for Dec. 4, when Trump was in Salt Lake City in connection with his decision to reduce the sizes of two Utah national monuments.

“I’m a Navy Seal,” Dominguez wrote, according to the indictment. “I woke up and decided (I am) to kill Donald Trump today. Please forgive me and then I will die by suicide by cop.”

“I’m going to kill the sexist racist homophobic President Trump today,” he said, according to the indictment. “Nothing you can do to save the President or stop me, pigs.”

Those charges were three of 11 listed in the indictment. Dominguez is also charged with the following:

  • Malicious conveying of false information. Dominguez allegedly used the Unified Police Department web tip line to threaten to bomb the Megaplex theaters in South Jordan on or about Nov. 13 and 24, and Dec. 31.
  • Threatening to harm others in connection with the Dec. 16, 24 and 31 messages about bombing the Megaplex in South Jordan.
  • Maliciously conveying false information on or about Nov. 13 by threatening to harm or kill people at Sportsman’s Warehouse, of Midvale, by use of explosives.
  • Maliciously conveying false information on or about Nov. 28 by threatening to destroy Chase Bank, in Sandy, by using explosives.

Each charge carries a sentence of up to 10 years incarceration upon conviction, according to the Department of Justice, Utah Division.
