ENOCH, Utah, June 15, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A 61-year-old man died Friday after a two-vehicle accident in Enoch.

The accident happened just before 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Midvalley Road and State Route 130, which is also known as Minersville Highway.

Cpl. Colton Freckleton, Utah Highway Patrol, told Gephardt Daily that first responders found a Chevy Suburban upside down on the road and a Chrysler minivan with major front-end damage.

“The Suburban pulled out in front of the minivan, which had the right of way,” Freckleton said. “The minivan T-boned the Suburban, and the suburban ended up rolling.”

Suburban driver Mark Dotson, of Milford, was freed from his vehicle, and talked briefly with first responders before complaining of breathing problems. He was transported to an area hospital, where he died of his injuries, Freckleton said.

“He was not wearing a seatbelt, which can make the difference,” he said.

The driver of the minivan and her passengers were wearing seatbelts, and suffered no serious injuries. They were not transported to the hospital, Freckleton said.
