MILLCREEK, Utah, June 26, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman is in critical condition and a man received minor injuries after an explosion at a Millcreek home that was allegedly being used as a THC extraction lab.

Unified Police Department Sgt. Melody Gray told Gephardt Daily the explosion occurred at approximately 2 p.m. in the area of 3329 S. Scott Court (725 East).

Gray said a 33-year-old woman was transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital in critical condition, and a 30-year-old man had minor injuries and did not need to be transported.

Gray said detectives are on scene waiting to serve a search warrant, and more details about the alleged marijuana extraction lab will be gathered then.

It’s too early to know at this time what charges the inhabitants of the home may be facing, Gray said.

THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the chemical responsible for most of marijuana’s psychological effects, according to Wikipedia.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
