Missing Syracuse man found dead

SYRACUSE, Utah, Oct. 16, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A man who was reported missing from Syracuse last week has been found dead.

Paul Arbuckle walked away from his home Friday night, Syracuse Police Department said in a news release on Facebook.

“He was located with the help of the Department of Public Safety helicopter Monday afternoon and was found deceased,” the news release said.

Officials did not release further details of where Arbuckle was found or how he died.

The news release said Arbuckle went missing at approximately 6:30 p.m. and left on foot with no phone or money.

“Thank you for all of those who helped search for Paul, your efforts did not go unnoticed,” the news release said. “The investigation has been turned over to the Davis County Sheriff’s Office. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.”

Family members have set up a GoFundMe page to assist with Arbuckle’s funeral expenses.
