SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Aug. 19, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The Unified Police Department has located a 12-year-old boy who went missing from Millcreek Friday morning.

Jose Nova was found at 3800 S. 500 East in South Salt Lake, just across the border from Millcreek, at approximately 3:30 p.m., according to UPD spokesman Lt. Lex Bell. He added that Jose “is in good condition and being reunited with his mom as we speak.”

Jose was last seen at 8 a.m. at 586 E. Hillpark Circle (4300 South) on a silver scooter, Bell said. Jose and his family were visiting his grandmother and Jose was unfamiliar with the area.

Bell said Jose was riding his scooter when he got lost, and when police found him, he had also lost his scooter. Bell said officers also bought Jose a new scooter to replace the one he had lost.
