Police: Missing 84-year-old St. George man with dementia, diabetes found dead

ST. GEORGE, Utah, Sept. 28, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — An 84-year-old man who had diabetes and the early stages of dementia has been found dead in his car after going missing three weeks ago, police said.

St. George Police Department tweeted Wednesday afternoon that Edward Brogly was found deceased in his car Tuesday night in Toquerville. No other details were immediately available.

Brogly was last seen by family members Sept. 6 at 4:30 p.m. at 1632 N. Lava Flow Drive, St. George, and he was headed to Olive Garden at 1340 E. 170 South, also in St. George.

Police first said they thought Brogly could be in Kolob or Panguitch, or possibly headed toward his home state of Illinois.
