More seats to sold out Garth Brooks’ concert to go on sale at noon Thursday

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 20, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — More seats for the sold out Garth Brooks show in Salt Lake City July 17 will go on sale Thursday at noon.

Officials announced tickets in the bleacher section at Rice-Eccles Stadium will be made available after the show sold out in a record-setting 30 minutes two weeks ago.

A waiting room in the online ticketing store will open at 11:45 a.m. You can click on the Ticketmaster link to get tickets, or call the Garth Brooks Ticketmaster line at 1-877-654-2784, or on the Ticketmaster app on your phone.

There is a four ticket limit per purchase.

Brooks tweeted May 6: “YOU SHOWED UP! #GARTHinSALTLAKE is Ticketmaster’s fastest stadium sell out in U.S. history! 50,000 tickets in less than 30 minutes! Touring is BACK. Utah, Idaho, this is going to be the time I’VE been waiting for! Way to go @Ticketmaster! Counting the days to see U-tah! love, g.”

The concert begins at 7 p.m. Staging will be in-the-round, said a news release on Brooks’ website. The show will be the first solo-act concert at the stadium since May 24, 2011, when U2 performed.

There will be no ticket sales at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets.

Tickets will cost $94.95, all inclusive.

“Purchaser assumes COVID risk,” the news release said. “All COVID rules apply.”
