Motorcycle Accident Sends Two to the Hospital

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – May 18, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — Today at 3:45 p.m. there was a motorcycle accident on I-15 which sent two family members to the hospital.

A father and his daughter were on a motorcycle headed southbound on I-15 when he couldn’t stop for congested traffic forcing him to lay the bike to its side. Both occupants fell off the motorcycle and rolled down the roadway.

Both driver and passenger received head injuries from the failing off the motorcycle and officials closed down all lanes southbound. Air Med ambulance was dispatch for the female passenger and the driver was transported by ground ambulance to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

The mother and wife of the two people involved in the accident was right behind them when they crashed and she laid her bike down behind them to check and see if they were okay.

According to the CommuterLink website, a crash at MP 285 (Salt Lake/Utah County Line)closed all lanes south bound at around 3:50 p.m., and the freeway opened again at around 5 p.m.
