OGDEN, Utah, Sept. 3, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries Monday night after police said his bike collided with a passenger truck that turned in front of him in the 2900 block of Washington Boulevard.

Ogden Police Lt. Will Farr told Gephardt Daily the crash happened at 6:24 p.m. asĀ  the truck and motorcycle were both traveling south on Washington.

“The 39-year-old truck driver intended to turn into a business. He didn’t see the motorcycle and cut it off, ” Farr said.

The motorcyclist, a 43-year-old man, was not wearing a helmet and suffered multiple injuries to his head and legs.

Farr said the man was taken to the hospital in stable condition, but the extent of his injuries still is not known.

Officers were at the scene for more than two hours, and the crash is still under investigation. Farr said police do not suspect impairment was a factor in the crash at this time.

“There was a lot of chaos and the officers were concerned about traffic,” Farr said, but Washington Boulevard remained open.

Gephardt Daily will update this story as more information is made available.

  2. For those who may have missed the original post, Chris (not my husband but our brother) Saunders was t-boned by a truck who crossed several lanes of traffic. He was rushed to the hospital listed as a trauma one patient. After much time passed (probably not as long as it felt) we were updated that he was stable and by the grace of God didnt have any life threatening injuries. He did sustain a fractured wrist which will require surgery, his foot is going to require surgery as it is mangled and also his face. The facial surgeon hasn’t been in yet but Tracy was told he will need surgery on his face due to left orbital fracture and his nose and mouth. With all that said we are all blessed he is still with us and doing ok. They are managing his pain and him and Tracy are in good spirits. Ok, so there has been an account set up for Saunders to help with bills as he recovers. If you would like to donate that would be awesome and if you cant just please share this post to get the word out.
