DAMMERON VALLEY, Utah, June 11, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) -- Dammeron Valley Fire & Rescue crews responded to a report of a vehicle accident this week, and found a car had gone down an embankment and caught on fire.

Crews were called at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, and responded to West Gunlock Road. Engine 131 and Chief 132 responded.

"The occupants had exited the vehicle prior to DVFR's arrival," Dammeron Valley Fire & Rescue news release says.

"Fire crews worked to extinguish the fire, which was challenging due to the vehicle's location down the embankment. Crews extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby vegetation."

"Thank you to the Gunlock Fire Department, Veyo Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance, and Washington County Sheriff's Office for their responses to the incident," the release says.

"DVFR reminds drivers to drive safely for the road conditions and to slow down on roads with many curves and blind corners. We want everyone to be safe and enjoy a great summer."
