PAYSON, Utah, Dec. 2, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — At least four people were injured Monday night after a small airplane landed on northbound I-15 near Payson, leading to a multi-vehicle crash near milepost 250.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, at least five vehicles were involved the accident.
No injuries to the people on board the aircraft were reported, but four people from the vehicles were transported to local hospitals with moderate to severe injuries.
Flight trackers indicated the “2017 Cessna 172 Skyhawk took off from #StGeorge at 1808/6:08 p.m. and landed on I-15 exactly 2 hours later at 2008/2:08 p.m.”
