MURRAY, Utah, Jan. 28, (Gephardt Daily) — UDOT is warning drivers to stay away from 4500 South at 300 West after a Murray City police officer crashed his squad car into a retaining wall just west of the Interstate 15 overpass Thursday afternoon.
According to investigators on the scene, the officer ─ whose name has not been released ─ appeared to have suffered from a medical incident at time of the accident.
The officer was unconscious when he was taken to the hospital. His condition is still unknown.
The Utah Department of Transportation tweeted that traffic on 4500 South would be closed until investigating officers cleared the area.
