SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah, March 29, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The woman who died Monday evening in a wrong-way crash on westbound Interstate 80 near Kimball Junction has been identified.

Utah Highway Patrol said Park City resident Amanda K. Streit, 39, was driving west in a Saturn Vue on I-80 at about 8 p.m., when 30-year-old Stewart R. Miller of Kamas was driving his GMC Yukon east in the westbound lanes at a high rate of speed and collided with Streit’s vehicle.

Streit died at the scene as a result of her injuries and Miller was taken in serious condition to the Park City Medical Center.

Troopers said alcohol is suspected as a contributor to the crash. Charges against Miller are pending.
