MIDVALE, UTAH – AUGUST 31, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Four families have been forced from their homes after a two-alarm fire swept through their Midvale apartment complex late Sunday night.

According to Unified Fire Authority Captain Dan Brown, firefighters were first called to the four-plex at 248 West Foxbridge Road around 11:13 p.m. When they arrived they found thick smoke pouring from all four apartments.

All of the apartment dwellers had made it out safely.

A total 12 people – five children and seven adults – were displaced.

Firefighters say they all made it out safely on their own and there were no reports of injuries.

Investigators believe the fire broke out in a downstairs laundry room before spreading to the rest of the apartments.

They’re still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
