TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 23, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A new wildfire sparked Sunday was contained within a few hours.
The fire was located on private land five miles southwest of the Rowley restricted area, says a 2:26 p.m. announcement from Utah Fire Info.
“It is estimated to be 20 acres,” the social media post says. “Containment is expected later this evening.”
A 6:04 p.m. update Sunday evening said the blaze, mapped at a finale 25.9 acres, was out.
“Thanks to the quick response by firefighters, the fire was successfully 100% contained.”
