EVANSTON, Wyoming, Feb. 18, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A small plane crashed at about 3 p.m. Sunday near Evanston, the Uinta County Wyoming Sheriff’s Office reported.
The sheriff’s office and Uinta County Fire and Ambulance responded to the crash, about a mile north of Evanston near Bear River.
A Socata TBM7 crashed under unknown circumstances while on approach to the airport in Evanston with two people on board, according to Ian Gregor, public affairs manager for the Federal Aviation Administraion Pacific Division.
The aircraft burned after crashing, Gregor said. The plane was flying from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The victims’ identities have not been released.
The FAA and NTSB are conducting the investigation into crash.
