NORTH OGDEN, Utah, Aug. 27, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A North Ogden man is being charged with voyeurism after officials allegedly found more than 110 videos of an undressed teenage girl on his computer.

A probable cause statement from the 2nd District Court of Ogden said Jeffrey Chou, 45, has been charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, and 10 counts of voyeurism by electronic equipment concealed or disguised, a class A misdemeanor.

Officers with the North Ogden Police Department responded to a complaint in which it was reported that the defendant, Chou, had put a camera in a bathroom and recorded a female juvenile.

“Of these videos, 76 of the videos were taken prior to her 18th birthday with 36 videos taken after her 18th birthday,” the statement said. “Furthermore, the defendant was identified in some of the images while setting up the camera.”

In speaking with the family, officers learned that the defendant had stored images and videos of the girl on his home computer.

“Officers also learned that some family members had confronted the defendant who admitted to making the recordings,” the statement said.

Officers then seized the computer and later conducted a search pursuant to a warrant, the statement said, and multiple videos of the teenager were found.

Chou is scheduled to appear in Ogden’s 2nd District Court Thursday.
