Officials from 5 law enforcement agencies in Southern Utah search for suspect considered armed, dangerous

BEAVER COUNTY, Utah, April 9, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A suspect considered armed and dangerous remains at large after fleeing Southern Utah law enforcement officers in a stolen SUV early Tuesday morning.

The Beaver County Sheriff’s Office received a request for help from Richfield officers pursuing a stolen white Lincoln SUV at about 4:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Beaver County deputies responded to an area of Interstate 15 southbound, near mile marker 116, to set up road spikes.

“The SUV hit the spikes and the chase continued into the field west of I-15,” a statement from the BCSO says. “Two suspects were detained while one suspect remains on the loose.

“Deputies from the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office as well as Utah Highway Patrol Troopers, Utah Department of Public Safety Star 9 Helicopter, Cedar City Police Department and Iron County Sheriff’s Office are all assisting in the search for this suspect.”

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, in his late 20s or early 30s, 6 feet 2 inches tall, with short brown hair, tattoos, large gages in his ears and a short beard. He was seen wearing a blue sweater, jeans and black shoes.

“This suspect is considered armed and dangerous,” the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office statement says.

“If you have any information on the whereabouts of this suspect, or if seen, do not approach, please call the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office at 435-438-2862 or 911.”
