WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Oct. 25, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Unified Fire Authority responded to multiple calls about a fire at 5285 W. 4700 South on Tuesday night.

UFA spokesman Matthew McFarland said Unified firefighters, assisted by West Valley Fire Department, were dispatched at about 10:15 p.m. and arrived to find two fully involved motorhomes.

Initially, there was some concern about the blaze igniting other structures, but firefighters quickly had it under control and no structures were threatened.

McFarland said most of the units were released, and by about 10:45 p.m., crews were doing cleanup and making sure there were no hot spots.

He didn’t know if anyone had been in the motorhomes when the fire broke out. Gephardt Daily learned from others at the scene that a man who had been in the area of the fire declined to go to the hospital for a precautionary checkup.

McFarland didn’t have a dollar estimate for damage but said the motorhomes are a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
