Officials investigating after shots fired into Delta home

DELTA, Utah, June 20, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials are investigating after shots were fired into a Delta home in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Officials responded to a Delta address on 100 North and near the 300 West block at 1:30 a.m. on reports of gunshots, Millard County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

“Multiple rounds of pistol ammunition had been fired in front and nearby the residence with some striking the house and passing through,” the news release said. “A young woman inside the home was struck and received minor injuries.”

The scene is still under security for forensic processing.

Interviews of possible suspects are ongoing, the news release said.

“The incident may relate to a verbal disagreement which occurred there earlier at approximately 8 p.m.Wednesday,” the news release said.

“If you live nearby this location and have information or surveillance video, we ask that you share it with us. This was a serious act of violence and we appreciate assistance in solving it promptly.”
