OGDEN, Utah, June 30, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Fire crews were called out to a grass fire Saturday morning at 1100 N. Harrison Blvd., above the Nature Center Trailhead.

Crews were dispatched at 9:13 a.m. and had to work the fire with hand tools, because there is no road to the area and the terrain makes access extremely difficult.

The Ogden Fire Department tweeted that the blaze consumed about one-quarter acre. Some crews remained at the scene throughout the day to keep an eye on any fire activity.

Witnesses told officials that two men in their 20s were seen leaving the area after the fire started.

One man was described as having shaggy, black hair, and wearing a black shirt, black shorts and a beanie cap.

The second man was wearing a tie-dye shirt and a beanie cap.

Anyone who has any information regarding these two men is asked to call the Weber Dispatch Center non-emergency number at 801-395-8221.
