EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah, July 13, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — An Eagle Mountain man has been found guilty on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child after a trial in 4th District Court in Provo.

According to a news release from the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, David Bills, age 67, was found guilty Monday.

Bills was arrested on July 7, 2016, after 8- and 10-year-old family members disclosed to investigators with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office and the Utah Division of Child and Family Services that they had been sexually abused by Bills numerous times over a five-year period.

After interviewing the victims, investigators spoke to Bills, but he was unwilling to answer questions. He was arrested at that time and booked into the Utah County Jail on 30 counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, all first-degree felonies.

On July 10, 2016, another family member came forward with concerns that their 8-year-old daughter might also have been victimized by Bills. After that child was interviewed, Bills was charged with two additional counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child.

Two of the guilty findings were for the third victim, who came forward after Bills was initially arrested.

Bills remains in jail pending sentencing.

Anyone with information about other possible victims in this case is asked to call investigators with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office at 801-851-4010.
