WEBER COUNTY, Utah, March 8, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Transportation has closed Ogden Canyon temporarily due to a rockslide, a vehicle accident and poor road conditions.
“Be advised the traffic conditions in the Upper Valley area are bad,” an alert from the Weber County Sheriff’s Office says. It was posted before 1 p.m. Friday.
“Currently Ogden Canyon is shut down for a rock slide and vehicle accident. UDOT is on scene addressing the issue. Powder Mountain Road is also temporarily closed and is expected to be re-opened in the next hour. Please avoid the area.”
A UDOT tweet added that no injuries or property damage was reported as a result of the rockslide. It also said there is “No estimated time for route to reopen. Will update as information becomes available.”
