Ogden Canyon reopens after crews recover body from river

OGDEN, Utah, May 6, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Ogden Canyon has reopened after crews  recovered the body of an 80-year-old man from the river, officials said Monday afternoon.

“Heavy Rescue teams from Weber, Ogden, and Riverdale Fire Departments, as well as Weber County Sheriff’s Office and Search and Rescue, are working in the Ogden River on a body recovery,” said a tweet from Weber Fire District at 1:45 p.m.

The canyon reopened by approximately 4 p.m.
