OGDEN, Utah, Sept. 27, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Firefighters battled a late-night blaze in Ogden on Wednesday.

Ogden City Fire Department crews were summoned at 11:02 p.m. to a structure fire at 919 E. 1150 North. Residents had made it out of the home, so officials took a defensive strategy and ventilated the residence, according to tweets from the department.

Soon after, crews switched to an offensive strategy and brought the fire under control.

In all, 17 firefighters responded from the Ogden City Fire Department and from the Northview Fire Department. They brought two ladder trucks, two engines, one paramedic rescue, one ambulance, and the battalion chief, a tweet said.

The Red Cross was called to help arrange housing for three displaced adults. Damage to the house was estimated at $150,000, a tweet said.
