OGDEN, Utah, July 7, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The Ogden Police Department has arrested the parents of a 3-year-old girl who was found dead Thursday afternoon.

Miller Costello, 25, and Brenda Emile, 22, were both booked into Weber County Jail where each faces a child abuse homicide charge in connection with the death of their daughter, Angelina Costello, according to a news release from Ogden Police Department.

Officials from Ogden’s police and fire departments responded at about 12:20 p.m. to a 911 call reporting the child was unconscious and not breathing, the news release said.

“Officers arrived and found Angelina had died and there was evidence of abusive trauma,” the statement said.

Investigators took Costello and Emile into custody. They were booked into jail early Friday morning.

Officials from the Ogden Police Department and the Division of Child and Family Services also removed an older sibling and a younger sibling from the home, the statement said.

“The investigation is ongoing,” the release said. “Preliminary information shows that the family has lived in Ogden for a short time.”

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Ogden Police Detective Larry Lewis at 801-629-8438 or email [email protected].
