OGDEN, Utah, June 16, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Ogden police are asking for tips after shots were fired downtown overnight.
Officers were called to the area of 25th Street and Lincoln Avenue at 2 a.m. Saturday after reports of gunfire.
Witnesses told police that a dark SUV with unknown occupants stopped at the intersection and fired multiple shots from a handgun in the air.
“This was not a targeted event, there were no verbal announcements,” an OPD tweet says. “There were no injuries and no damage. The area is being monitored closely.
“The investigation of the event will be ongoing. If any individuals witnessed the event, please contact OPD Investigators@[email protected].”
