One critically injured when truck pulling flatbed overturns on U.S. 6 in Utah County

UTAH COUNTY, Utah, Nov. 16, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a serious crash involving a 3/4-ton truck on U.S. Highway 6 Friday night.

The accident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. about one mile west of Soldier Summit near milepost 209.

According to UDOT, U.S. 6 is closed in both directions at milepost 209. It is estimated the road will be closed until at least 9:30 p.m. while officials investigate and the scene is cleared.

UHP Sgt. Brady Zaugg told Gephardt Daily the truck was pulling a flatbed gooseneck trailer.

The truck overturned and the trailer was across the lanes of traffic.

Zaugg said one person was critically injured and was transported to the hospital by helicopter.
