Update: 1 dead, 1 critically injured in Springville crash identified

SPRINGVILLE, Utah, Aug. 11, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — One man was killed and another airlifted to hospital after two trucks collided in Springville Thursday morning, officials said.

Robert James Talbot, 65, was driving a Dodge pickup near 2600 W. 400 South that collided with a flat-bed truck pulling a horse trailer, according to a press release from Springville Police Department.  Talbot was ejected from the truck and pronounced dead on the scene.

Kasey Bartlett, 20, was driving the flat-bed truck and was airlifted to Utah Valley Hospital, the news release said. He was released from the hospital after being treated for a concussion.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Springville Police Department and the Utah Highway Patrol.
