WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Jan. 17, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in West Valley City have released the identity of a man killed in a single-vehicle rollover Saturday morning.

Joshua Pulido, 26, of West Valley City, died after he crossed over into westbound traffic and onto the shoulder, hit a fence and several poles before rolling his vehicle. Pulido was not restrained and was ejected from the vehicle.

According to West Valley City Police Lt. Julie Jorgensen, dispatchers had received a call from some motorists at approximately 3:15 a.m. of a vehicle that had rolled near 5783 West 4100 South.

“Our officers arrived and when they checked the car it was empty,” Jorgensen said. “They were able to locate the driver, who had been ejected, but the young man was already deceased.”

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. It is not known if drugs or alcohol were factors.

A GoFundMe has been set up by the family.
