HEBER CITY, Utah, Dec. 9, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Highway Patrol has identified a man killed Tuesday evening in an accident off U.S. Route 40 in Heber City.

According to UHP Sgt. Todd Royce, the accident happened at 5:20 p.m. when a white Chevy Tahoe driven by Timothy T. Ferderber, 44, of West Valley City, was turning left off Airport Road and pulled out in front of a red Dodge Ram drive by Darwin J. Harding, 56, of Fruitland. Harding was headed east on U.S. 40 and was unable to avoid the collision.

“It appears the vehicle missed the stop sign and just pulled right into the path of the truck,” Royce said. “The truck impacted the vehicle at the driver’s side door.”

Ferderber was ejected and pinned under his vehicle as it rolled on its side. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Harding, the driver of the Ram, received minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Heber Valley Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
