UTAH COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 3, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — An Orem man is facing a felony charge after allegedly sending an Uber to pick up who he thought was a minor for the purpose of having sexual relations with her.

A probable cause statement from Utah County said Alexander Julianni Sanchez, 20, is facing a charge of enticing a minor by Internet or text, a second-degree felony.

“On Thursday, Aug. 29, Sanchez was chatting on a social media application and SMS text with what he believed to be a 13-year-old female,” the probable cause statement said.

Sanchez arranged for the “minor female” to be picked up via Uber and brought to his apartment for the purpose of sex.

He was taken into custody and interviewed and “stated he intended to have sex with the 13-year-old female,” the statement said.

Sanchez was transported to the Utah County Jail with his bail set at $20,000.
