OREM, Utah, Oct. 15, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police have shut down a nightclub for allegedly allowing underage drinking in Orem.
An alcohol enforcement officer with the Orem Police Department caught wind that the new club had been serving drinks illegally, the department said in an online post.
That revelation led to a search warrant being served on the premises, police said in the Sunday statement. “Ya’ll would call it a police raid.”
About 150 patrons were in the club at the time.
“The club was shut down and all the alcohol seized. About a dozen underage drinkers were cited, including a 15-year-old female.
“One mother was there with her three kids under 21, who all consumed alcohol. She was charged along with the bartender and club owner for various offenses.”
The release did not name the club and messages to the department were not immediately returned.
