Orem police seek tips from public as they investigate theft of vehicle with child inside

OREM, Utah, Dec. 10, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Orem are asking for the public’s help regarding the theft of a vehicle Tuesday from the area near 800 South 400 West.

Officers responded to the report of a stolen vehicle with a child inside, according to a Facebook post by Orem P.D.

The vehicle was left running when it was stolen and was found a short time later, the post said. The child was still in the vehicle and was not harmed.

Officers are following up on leads but they have no suspect information at this time and are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at 7 p.m. to call 801-229-7070.
