ROY, Utah, July 7, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Roy fire crews responded to a call at 3955 S. 2275 West where multiple outbuildings were burning late Saturday afternoon.

The call came in just after 5 p.m., and firefighters arrived to find charred-black grass in the backyard and at least two large structures ablaze.

They worked quickly to get the fire under control and prevent it from spreading any further. Crews remained on scene to check for hot spots.

A home on the property had heat damage to its siding.

One man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation; otherwise there were no injuries.

The fire got close to the train tracks, immediately to the west, but crews were able to get it under control before it could actually reach the tracks.
