LOGAN, Utah, June 19, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A pair of red foxes has returned to their enclosure Logan’s Zootah at Willow Park after having an “adventure” Wednesday, officials said.

A tweet from Logan Police Department Wednesday afternoon said the pair escaped their enclosure.

“Although not usually aggressive, they are not used to being out on their own,” the tweet said.

A follow-up tweet at 5 p.m. said: “The foxes had a little adventure this morning. We have the zoo closed for a bit so that Scarlet won’t be spooked.”

The tweet went on: “They stayed within mere feet of their enclosure because it is ‘home’. As soon as the male could he ran back in and got in his comfy spot. Scarlet is right there by the enclosure and her brother. She’ll go in at dinner time. We know and love our animals and let them do what we know they will do. We closed the zoo not because she might hurt someone, but we didn’t want her spooked.”

Zootah at Willow Park is a small zoo formerly known as the Willow Park Zoo, and is located at 419 W. 700 South in Logan.
