Paraglider injured after crashing at Point of the Mountain

UTAH COUNTY, Utah, May 13, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A man from Colorado sustained back and leg injuries after a paragliding crash at Point of the Mountain on Monday morning.

Utah County Sheriff’s Office officials said the incident occurred in the area of the Point of the Mountain Flight Park a little before 8:30 a.m.

The man collided with a hill about 100 feet from the top of the flight park on its south side, officials said.

The 33-year-old man was flown by medical helicopter to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
