PARK CITY, Utah, July 25, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating a stabbing Friday that has become a homicide.
“This morning at approximately 8:35 a.m., officers from the Park City Police Department responded to 505 Deer Valley Drive on a report of a stabbing,” the department said in news release. “Two individuals were transported to area hospitals for treatment.”
Detectives are actively investigating the incident, the department said, adding that based on the information currently available, it appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
By Friday evening the department posted an update on the case: “One individual has since succumbed to their injuries. The incident is now being investigated as a homicide. “
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The investigation remains active, police said, and additional information will be released as it becomes available and when appropriate to do so.
