Parts of Zion National Park closed for search and rescue operation

ZION NATIONAL PARK, Utah, June 6, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Parts of Zion National Park are closed Sunday due to an ongoing search and rescue operation, a statement from the park says.

Areas temporarily closed are:

  • The Temple of Sinawava shuttle stop, including access to Riverside Walk
  • The Narrows, from the bottom up
  • Mystery Canyon
  • Orderville Canyon

Park officials said they would update the status, announced in a 7:40 a.m. Sunday tweet, when circumstances change.

No additional details about the search and rescue operation were made available.
