MIDVALE, Utah, Oct. 28, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A man is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Midvale Saturday evening.

Unified Police Department Detective Ken Hansen told Gephardt Daily the auto-pedestrian crash occurred at the intersection of 700 West and 7200 South at approximately 9 p.m.

Hansen said the man, who is in his 30s, was walking across 700 West in a crosswalk when a car traveling northbound hit him.

The cause is under investigation but it appears the driver had the green light.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and was cooperating with officers. There is no impairment suspected on the driver’s part.

The man was transported to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray and remains in critical but stable condition Sunday morning.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
