Man fatally injured, hit by tractor trailer on State Route 6 in Carbon County

CARBON COUNTY, Utah, March 13, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A man walking on State Route 6 in Helper on Wednesday evening was struck and killed by a flatbed truck.

The incident happened just before 7 p.m. near milepost 232, a statement from the Utah Department of Public Safety says.

“A white tractor trailer flat-bed style vehicle was eastbound on SR-6 near milepost 232. A male pedestrian was walking in the area and had been causing a disturbance. Before troopers could arrive the male appears to have run in front of the tractor trailer.

“The front of the tractor trailer impacted the male and he died from his injuries on scene. Troopers are attempting to identify the male, but it may take some time.”
