MOAB, Utah, Jan. 20, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A person is in critical condition after suffering a cardiac arrest on Delicate Arch Trail near Moab Saturday afternoon.

A Facebook post from Grand County EMS said its team, as well as National Park Service rangers and Classic Air Medical, was dispatched to the trail north of Moab just after 3:30 p.m.

“Bystanders immediately started CPR and contacted 911,” the post said. “The bystanders were able to regain a pulse and with NPS Rangers help assisted the patients ventilations until GCEMS and Classic Air Medical arrived.”

The person was then intubated and flown to St Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado, in critical condition.

The post did not say whether the individual was a man or a woman. The patient’s name was not released.
