PLEASANT GROVE, Utah, Dec. 2, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Pleasant Grove Police Department was recently approached by a local Eagle Scout, and they are now partnering on a project.
Logan Cook, a Pleasant Grove resident and Eagle Scout, will be supplying parents with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Child ID kit.
“This kit is very helpful to Law Enforcement when identifying children who have been lost or abducted,” the department said on its Facebook page.
Logan will be fingerprinting kids this Thursday, Dec. 5, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Police Department community room, 108 S. 100 East.
The fingerprints will be given to the parents to keep.
“Fingerprints can be critical when identifying a missing child…We hope that parents will never need to use these ID kits, but they are a great idea in case the unthinkable happens,” the Facebook post said.
“Please come support Logan with his very important Eagle Scout project.”
