LAYTON, Utah, July 17, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Four Layton teenagers were arrested Tuesday after they allegedly robbed a drug dealer at gunpoint, officials said.

The following persons were arrested and booked into Davis County Jail for aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony: Darrian Roby, 18, Vance Williams, 18, Kamdon Keller, 18, (two counts) and a 17-year-old juvenile male, who has been booked at Farmington Bay.

A news release from the Layton City Police Department said that Sunday at approximately 8:30 p.m., officials were notified of an armed robbery that had occurred several hours prior near 1400 N. 1800 West in Layton.

“Said robbery involved the distribution of drugs, where an 18-year-old drug dealer had THC extract taken from him by physical force and pointing of firearms,” the news release said.

On Tuesday, North Davis Metro SWAT served a search warrant at a Layton residence where one of the suspects was known to be staying. Layton Police officers apprehended four suspects without incident. A firearm used by one of the suspects in the incident has also been recovered.

During the course of the investigation, Keller was linked to a second armed robbery incident that had occurred in Layton at a Chevron gas station on Nov. 27, 2018.
