Man Allegedly Tries to Force his Way Into a House, Pretending to be a Police Officer

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – August 11, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – SLCPD officers were called to a home at 733 E. Kensington where Reed Grover, 42, had tried to force his way into the house under the guise of being a police officer, yesterday morning at 6 a.m.

Grover showed a police badge through the house window and said “Police.”

The police department said in a statement: “It was quickly determined the subject was in fact not an officer. He was physically restrained with his own handcuffs by the occupants of the house.”

Grover was booked into jail for burglary, assault, and impersonating a police officer.
