Police: Body of missing Taylorsville teen found in Kearns field

KEARNS, Utah, Feb. 27, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The body of a missing 17-year-old boy has been found in a field in Kearns.

The boy — whose name has not been released — is a Taylorsville resident who was last seen by friends on Feb. 9 in the area where his body was found, at about 5831 Plumbago Ave., Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray told Gephardt Daily.

On Feb. 10, the teen’s family reported him missing, and police went to the area where he was last seen on Wednesday.

The teen’s body was found at about 6:30 p.m., Gray said from the scene at about 11 p.m. Wednesday.

No suspected cause of death has been released, and no information will be available until after an autopsy, she said.
