MIDVALE, Utah, Sept. 15, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — One man is in custody Thursday night after police received multiple calls of shots fired in the area of 6850 S. 190 East.

Braxton Michael Smith, 21, was arrested for three counts of attempted homicide and other related charges, according to information released by the Unified Police Department.

A dispute over stolen property led to a suspect firing multiple rounds at three men in a Jeep, the release states.

Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke said the men drove off until the Jeep became disabled near 150 East.

Lohrke said Smith was inside a house when police arrived and was arrested as soon as he came out after police called for him.

Lohrke said there were no major injuries, primarily because the men drove away, and the only injury was a cut, probably from glass.
