SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Nov. 2, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police have identified the suspect in an armed robbery at Chase Bank on Friday afternoon, and they are asking for the public’s help in locating him.
The suspect has been identified as Jerry Robert Petty, 57, according to a news release from South Salt Lake Police Department.
In addition to being suspected in the Chase Bank robbery, Petty is listed as a fugitive by the National Crime Information Center after he reportedly walked away from a federal halfway house Thursday.
Police say Petty is considered armed and dangerous. He should not be approached.

According to police, the robbery occurred at about 3:47 p.m. at the bank at 2610 S. State St.
The suspect walked into the bank, brandished a handgun and demanded cash. He left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and was headed southbound on State Street.
