Police ID victim after body recovered from Jordan River in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 13, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police and fire crews responded to the Jordan River on Thursday morning after a call about a body floating in the Jordan River.

Someone walking the Jordan River Parkway spotted the body and reported it to police at about 9:40 a.m., Sgt. Brandon Shearer told Gephardt Daily.

Officials responded to the scene, near 360 N. Jordan River Parkway. The Salt Lake City Fire Department was able to retrieve the body.

The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Keith Fulcher, of Salt Lake City.

Officials at the scene said the body showed no signs of foul play. Investigators and the Medical Examiner’s office will work to determine a cause of death and how long the body had been in the water, Shearer said.
