WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Dec. 3, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred around 4 p.m. Friday on the 5000 block of Camstone Drive.

West Valley City Police Lt. Amy Maurer said three males wearing ski masks entered the home through an unlocked door and ordered everyone inside — adults and children — to get down on the floor in the living room.

Lt. Maurer said the suspects, two armed with bats and one believed to have a firearm, then went into the bedrooms and took several items. She said it wasn’t known exactly what was taken or whether the house was targeted specifically.

A forensics team was investigating the scene, Maurer said, but as of Friday night there was no information on who the suspects are or why they chose this particular house.

No one was injured during the incident.
